24 Captain Marshall served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Loekhart in
1897-98 with the Malakand Field Force with the ist Battalion Royal West Kent Regiment, and, was present at the
engagement at Dandakai and in the operations in the Watelai Valley ; also served in the Tirah Expeditionary
Force with the 2nd Battalion Derbyshire Regiment, and- was present at the storming of the Dargai Heights, the
capture of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes, and in the operations in the Khanki Mastura, Waran, and Bazar
Valleys (Medal with two Clasps).
25 Captain Anderson served in the Lushai Expedition in 1890 attached to the 40th Bengal Infantry with the
force sent to the relief of Forts Aijal and Changsil (Medal with Clasp).
26 Captain Green served with the Chitral Relief Force under Sir Robert Low in 1895 as Transport Officer
(Medal with Clasp). Served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Loekhart

present at the storming of the Dargai' Heights, the capture of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes, and in the
operations in the Khanki, Mastura, Waran, and Bazar Valleys (two Clasps).

in 1897-98 with the Tirah Expeditionary Force with the 2nd Battalion Derbyshire Regiment, and was present at

Khanki, Mastura, Waran, and Bazar Valleys ; also served with the Khyber Field Force as Brigade Signalling
Officer 1 st Brigade (Medal with two Clasps).

1897-98 with the Tirah Expeditionary Force with the 2nd Battalion Derbyshire Regiment, and was present at the
storming of the Dargai Heights (mentioned in despatches), at the capture of the Sampagha and Arhanga Passes, and
in the operations in the Khanki, Mastura, Waran, and Bazar Valleys (HUT., Medal with two Clasps); was awarded
the Victoria Cross for the following-act :— " This officer, during|the|attack on the Dargai Heights on the 20th October,
when Captain W. E. G. Smith, Derbyshire Regiment, was struck down, ran to his assistance and made two distinct
attempts under ' a perfect hail of bullets ' to carry and drag him back to cover, and only desisted when he found
that he was dead."
37 Lieut. Keller served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Loekhart in
