1 Earl Howe served as Aide de Camp to Sir George Cathcart in the Kaffir war in 1852-53 (Medal), for which
service he was promoted to the Brevet rank of Major. Served at the siege of Delhi in 1857, as Acting Quarter
Master General of the Queen's Troops (Colonel, CB., Medal with Clasp).
2 Lt.Colonel Smith-Cuninghame served with the 2nd Life Guards in the Egyptian war of 1882, and wa:; present
in the two actions at Kassasin and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star).
6 Major Longfield served in the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 with the 2nd Life Guards detachment of the Camel
Corps (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). •
7 Captain Brinton served in the campaign in the Soudan under Sir Herbert Kitchener m 1898, and was present
at the battle of Khartoum— severely wounded (mentioned in despatches, British Medal, and Khedive's Medal
with Clasp) .

1 Lord Binning served with the Roval Horse Guards and in command of the Signallers of the Cavalry Brigade
i.ti the Egyptian war of 1882, and was' present in the action at Kassasin on the 9th September, at the battle of
Tel-el-Kebir and at the capture of Cairo (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's Star). Seived in the Nile Expedition
in 1884-85 with the Heavy Camel Corps in the Desert Column, and was present at the actions at Abu Klea and El
Gubat, the affair before Metammeh and the attack on the Convoy on 14th February (two Clasps). Served in the
Kazara Expedition in 1888 with the River Column, and was present in the engagement at Kotkai (mentioned in
despatches, Medal with Clasp). . . ,
4 Captain Villiers served with the Uuyoro Expedition, Central Africa, in 1893-94 (nominated to the 3rd Class
of the order of the Brilliant Star of Zanzibar for services to the Sultan of Zanzibar).
5 Captain FitzGerald served in the campaign on the North West Frontier of India under Sir William Lockhart
in 1897-98 as extra Orderly Officer to the General Officer Commanding the Malakand Field Force (Medal with

7 Lieut, the Hon. Hanburv-Tracy served in the operations in Uganda in 1897-98 (mentioned in despatches, 3rd
•Class of the Brilliant Star of Zanzibar, Medal with Clasp).
8 Surgeon Lt.Colonel J. S. Forrester served in the Egyptian war of 1882, and was present in the engagement at
Tel-el-Mahuta, in the two actions at Kassasin, and at the battle of Tel-el-Kebir (Medal with Clasp, and Khedive's
Star).
