1 Lieut. General Lyttelton-Annesley served with the nth Hussars in the Crimea from 29th July 1855, including
the siege and fall of Sebastopol (Medal and Clasp, and Turkish Medal).
2 Lord Airlie served with the lothHussars in the Afghan war in 1878-79, andwas present at the attack and
capture of Ali Mus.jid and in the engagement atFuttehabad (Medal with Clasp). Served in the Soudan Expedi-
tion in 1884 as Adjutant iothHussars, and waspresent in the engagement at.Temai (Medal with Clasp, 4th Class
of the Medjidie, and Khedive's Star). Served with the Nile Expedition in 1884-85 as Brigade Major under Sir
Herbert Stewart, and was present atthe'action at Abu Klea (slightly wounded), in the engagement at Abu Klea
Wells on the 16th and 17th February, and in the reconnaissance to Metammeh — slightly wounded (twice mentioned
in despatches, Brevet of Major, two Clasps).
3 Lt.Colonel Broadwood served with the Dongola Expeditionary Force under Sir Herbert Kitchener in 1396, in
eluding the engagement at Firket and the operations at Hafir (mentioned in despatches, Brevet of Lt.Colouel,
and Khedive's Medal with two Clasps).

embarking at Calais for England, 1814. To Ostend 1815 (at the battles of Quatre Bras and Waterloo
