in the engagements at Zoinguin Mountain and Ulundi (Medal with Clasp). .

in Orange River Colony March to June 1901 ; and in Cape Colony June 1901 to 31st May 1902 (mentioned m despatches,

1890 to Nov. 1900, and afterwards as second in Command of 17th Company Imperial Yeomanry, and then as temporary
LtXolonel Commanding 2nd Company Imperial Yeomanry till March 1902.. Took .part .in actions of Elandslaagte-
severely wounded, Spion Kop, Vaal "Krantz, Pieter's Hill, relief of Ladysmith, relief of Mafeking ; oper.tons round
