The kindred and nearest relations of men ' on their
keeping' (wives, fathers, mothers, brothers, and sons) to
be kept in gaol till the tories are arrested. If any burglary,
robbery, or murder is committed by tories, the parish priest
is to be arrested and transported unless the criminal is
discovered in 14 days. Sheriffs to obey this and the pro¬
clamation for watches, No. 881, q.v.

Cites proclamation 16 Oct., No. 889, q.v., ordering popish
dignitaries to leave the kingdom by 20 Nov. £10 reward
will be paid for the apprehension of any popish archbishop,
bishop, or Jesuit, and £5 for any other vicar-general, abbot,
or regular piiest, who has not been licensed to remain in
the kingdom.

[For apprehending the assailants of John Totty.]

John Totty, an officer at mace in the city of Dublin, was
sent on 1 April to a mass-house on the Merchant's Key,
where he pulled away the priest by the shoulders, who cried
that he would be revenged for it. The same night between
9 and 10 p.m. he was met near the Tholsell by two men,
and left for dead. £20 reward for information leading to
the conviction of any of the assailants within three months,
besides a free pardon to the informer.
