Cites Act of Council, Boyle, 11 July 1635, as to defective
titles in Co. Koscommon, and others of like nature, and
letters patent granted under Commission of 4 Jas. I,
No. 186, q.v. These Patents having been questioned, the case
was argued for Viscount Dillon of Costillogan, and the letters
patent declared wholly void for holdings by any other tenure
than knight's service in capite.

tion of Phesants, Partridges, Grows, and Moore-
game, &c.

No one to take any ' phesants, partridges, grows, or moor-
game' within 7 miles of Dublin, or 5 miles from Naase
in Kildare. No one to shoot with a gun in tliese limits till
licensed, and till they have given bond in £40 not to shoot
at any game. No setting dogs to be kept within 20 miles
of Dublin. Offenders to be proceeded against in the Castle
Chamber on information by the Attorney-General. Coun¬
cillors of State may hawk and kill with their hawks within
these bounds.

citing holders of land in Eoscoman, Slygo, Mayo, and Gall-
way, who hold lands or estates under cover of letters patent
from the Crown (other than those granted under royal
letter, 2 July, 13 Jas. I). All are to attend on 30 November
next by themselves or their agents to be heard in defence
of the validity of their letters patents. This to be pro¬
claimed in these counties.

The grant for licensing wine and aquavitse has been
resumed on composition with the holders. Sir James Ware
and Sir Philip Perceval are appointed licensers in the King's
name. All persons having licences to sell wine, &c., to
deposit them or certified copies. Licences not deposited
are void, and will be granted to other persons. No further
licences to be issued by any person till the Council directs.

the Importation of Tobaccoe.

No tobacco is to be imported after 1 May without licence
from the Lord Deputy and Council on pain of contempt.
The customs officers are not to take entry of it after that
date without licence. The customs and impost to be those
directed by the farmers of customs lately. Cites Eoyal

one end only, reel to be one ell in compass, to be reeled in
lays of 100 threads, knit up with a packthread. The other
parts of the proclamations have been observed, and these
may be dispensed with for a time.
