Connaught, the Marshall of the Kingdom, the Earls of
Kildare, Thomond, and Tyrone, Viscount Tullow, the
Governors of Knockfargus, Derry, Bellashannan, Leixe, City
of Waterford, Wexford, Breney, Kynsale, Kerry, Newry, the
Sheneshalls of the Byrnes and Monaghan, Deputy-Governor
of Carrickfergus, High Sheriffs and Provost Marshals having
Patents.

Cites proclamations frequently issued prohibiting the
wearing of arms, except a sword and dagger on horse¬
back, or any whatsoever on foot, on pain of imprisonment
at the Lord Deputy's pleasure and confiscation of arms.
These have not been executed. All officers, &c., to arrest
any one carrying arms after twenty days from publication,
to suffer five days' imprisonment and arms to be confiscated.
A search and return of seizures to be made every two or
three months. Officers to have half value of arms seized.
Gentlemen of the Pale, merchants, and householders may
have written permission to have arms.

Pardon for all offences before 24 March, 1 Jas. I, on taking
an oath of fealty within two years next ensuing. Fees for
entry : gentlemen, 12d., others, 6d No actions for stealths,
&o., before 1 Nov. 1602 to be heard. Grants by letters
patent do not convey the freeholds of unforfeited lands
within their boundaries. All grants of land to be sublet on
fixed rents to allow of tenants' improvements. All persons
are direct subjects of the Crown and not of local lords.
Oppressed subjects are ordered to appeal to the Justices of
Assize or the Governors of the Counties.

Rumours of an intended toleration of religion and liberty
of conscience have been spread. The law will be strictly
enforced in Ireland as elsewhere. Jesuits and seminary
priests to leave Ireland before 10 December on pain of dis¬
pleasure. All found in Ireland after that date to be arrested.
