i Sere the Redeemer’s welcome voice
, Spreads heav’nly peace around ;

/ Attend the blissful sound.
P may these heav’nly pages be
» Through life my chief delight!
And still new beauties may I see.

I *Divine Instructer, gracious Lord,
; Be thou for ever near ! •
Teach me to love thy sacred word,

The Riches of God's Word.
' T ET avarice from shore to shore
| Her fav’rite god pursue;
I Thy word, O Lord, we value more
L Than India or Peru.
I jHere mines of knowledge, love and joy,
! Are open to our sight :
The purest gold without alloy.
And gems divinely bright.
S The counsels of redeeming grace
These sacred leaves unfoM :
1. And here the Saviour’s lovely face
Our raptur’d eyes behold.
4 Here light descending from above
Directs our doubtful feet:
i! Here promises of heav’nly love
Our ardent wishes meet.
5 Oar num’rous griefs are here redrest,
j And all our wants supplied :
f Nought we can ask to make us blest,
I Is in this book denied.
