| Description | The manuscript contains: (i) Calendar in French (folio 1); (ii) Sequences of the Gospels (folio 7); (iii) 'Obsecro te' and 'O intemerata' (folio 10 verso); (iv) Hours of the Blessed Virgin Mary, according to the use of Rome (folio 15); (v) Penitential Psalms, Litany and prayers (folio 49); (vi) Office of the Dead (folio 60); (vii) Suffrages, including the 'Stabat Mater' (folio 79). There are ten large miniatures, and other decorative elements throughout. |

| Description | A selection of over 200 volumes of medieval and early modern manuscripts, dating from the 9th to the 17th century. Some of Scotland's most important early manuscripts are included in the many Scottish volumes. These are complemented by interesting and significant works of international origin, including volumes from France, England, the Low Countries, Italy and a number of other countries. Most of the manuscripts were collected by the Advocates Library, the forerunner of the National Library of Scotland. |
