suggests that Civil Surgeons should be supplied with medicine-trays containing sets of medicines, to be sent out with Native Doctors when deputed to cholera-stricken parts of the country.
2. This suggestion having met with the approval of the Inspector-General of Hospitals, I am desired to request that you will be good enough to instruct District Officers to arrange with Civil Surgeons for the supply of a sufficient number of sets of medicines to be used in such cases of emergency. The expense should, in the Lieutenant-Governor's opinion, be met from the Local Funds of the district; or, where there is a Municipal Committee, from the Municipal Funds of the places which may require the services of the Native Doctors.
I have, &c.,
R. SIMSON,
Secy. to Govt., N. W. P.
