A New Song in praise of our
Favourite Candidate's,
OF TRALEE.
Let Granua sons rejoice with fun and let their voiees echo
Thro' lofty hills and valleys, all round the county Kerry
In honour of our long-lost men, I men brave Brown
and O'Connell,
Who now should be our candidates in Parliament.
CHORUS.
We are all prepared brave Brown to cheer, a Member in
the County,
In spite of those who do appose, and brave O Connell's
boernty.
Those worthy men we understand would be elected,
The Lord was pleased to see them raised, and by that
means elected,
Our sun will shine, I am sure its time sh ee Cromwel
robed this nation,
Thro' Killarney's town we this roman star cheer deteation
Their goodness and humanity to every distressed creature
Is writing in the Book of Life, by our celestial Maker,
Let all Kerry free-holders bold to them resign their
polling,
We will send them off to Parliament all in a carrage
rolling.
Three hundered years and something more, since the
church of Rome was eclipsed
By sable clouds and wickedness, now she is liberated,
Our holy church we'll how combine, and join like true
defenders,
To have brave Browu and O'Connell in the chair, the
true and faithful Members.
Men of Tralee, come forward crush the Tory factiou.
Let each elector boldly cry "we're all prepared for action"
Think now, my boys, in former times and comarce
slaughter,
Now ye free-holders like honest men, would vote for
great O'Connell.
Now to conclude and make an end, may the Lord give
rest to O'Connell,
He would make the rain pump and stain, and cross the
English chanel,
He would stand aud plade for us in Parliament,
Our Members will make the house of Commons shake
and the orange must surrender.
