NoTE I. — Sg. I. Theending -o isalsofound, e.g. arcu, arco,
I beseech. In A (i)there is also an absolute ending -im, e.g.
melim, I grind. In A (2) there appears also e.g. for-fiun,
exanclo. No definite rules can be laid down for the use of the
different forms ; in time the -im forms get the upper hand.
NoTE 2. — Sg. 2. The short form hke -bir is found only in
a few verbs. Most verbs have -i also in the conjunct forms.
NoTE. — From tíagu, I go, comes a i Sg. ipv. tíag, with the
sense of ' let me go,' ' I wiU go '.
