The bright glance of pleasure is seen in her eyes,
Like planets emitting their light from the skies ;
Her stature is straight, she is handsome and tall —
Backbiting or slander she knows not at all,
She is pure as the daisy that decks the May morn,
Or like the white blossom that buds on the thorn,
She is gentle and mild, Ukethe evening breeze,
She is sweet as the honey that comes from the bces,
She is likc the green ivy, the same all theyear,
Unchanged in the colour though frost be severe,
O ! is she not charniing, 0, is shc not rare,
! is he not happy will get such a fair,
! who but a wretch to his happiness blind,
That would not cndeavour this fair one to find.
