AN DEO-GREINK
decided to ask the Comunn to re-consider the
remit sent to it from the Annual General Meet¬
ing held last September. The matter to be de¬
cided was--Were they to re-open the whole ques¬
tion ? Dr. Kenneth Campbell, Oban, moved,
and Mr. Donald Nicolson seconded, that the
question be not re-opened, but that the report
of the Secretarial Committee be considered.
Mr. J. A. Mackay, Dundee, moved, and Mr.
J. Mackay, Glasgow, seconded, that the
whole question be re-considered, advocating
at the same time a dual appointment. A
long discussion ensued, after which the voting
resulted in the carrying of Dr. Campbell's
motion by 41 votes to 30. It was then
decided to take the recommendations in the
Committee’s Report seriatim. ' (1) That one
man should be appointed as Secretary, Treas¬
urer, and organiser, at a salary of not less
than ^’150 a year, with travelling expenses.
(2) That the Secretary’s office should be
locate’d in Glasgow. On the motion of Mr.
T. D. MacDonald, it was resolved to separate
the offices of Secretary and Treasurer, and
that the latter should be held separately, with
an honorarium attached to it. The rest of
the recommendations were carried by large
majorities. Principal MacAllister was unani¬
mously appointed seventh Trustee of the
Feill Funds.
