| Description | Marion Angus (1865-1946) was a key figure in the Scottish literary renaissance. A late starter, she did not publish her first collection of poetry, 'The Lilt and other poems' (1922), until she was 56. Heavily influenced by the Scottish ballad tradition and folk song, her work is mainly in Scots. She is one of the most important Scottish poets of the 20th century and her work deserves a wide audience. |
