of May 31st, 1909.
Interest centred on. the skilful defence of Reid Kerr, who
practically monopolised the bowling. C. M. Nicol stayed a little
while, and -going in last D. G. Ramsay lent invaluable assistance
to the hitter. Play was: most exciting and amid loud applause
Reid Kerr attained his century with a 4 hit off Robinson. The
professional soon thereafter got his wicket. The Greenock captain
played capital cricket, having no fewer than seventeen boundaries,
and the closing part of the innings'was exhilarating to a degree,
and gave the spectators the best treat. they have had at Glenpark
for some time."
