GREENOCK
v.
CLYDESDALE at Titwood—April 30th,
1904.
Extract from
Greenock Pelegraph
of May 2nd, 1904.
" New Titwood was opened for the season on Saturday.
Clydesdale's oldest opponents were the visitors, and it was fitting
that Mr. D. Kerr who had taken part in many of the games played
between the clubs, should have been invited to assist on the in-
teresting occasion. During the Greenock's innings a stoppage
was made, when the new ground was formally declared opened by
Mr. John Robb, Busby, one of the original members of the Club.
The club members have shewn their generosity by subscribing the
full amount required for the extension of Titwood, and also for the
erection of the new pavilion. The membership has been con-
siderably increased, and the hope may be expressed that good
times are in store for Clydesdale. On the call of Mr. Robb three
cheers were heartily given for Greenock."
Note.
—D.
Kerr and his son, John, opened the innings for Greenock.
