GREENOCK
v.
DRUMPELLIER at Glenpark—June 27th,
1896.
Extract from
Greenock Telegrp
j5h
of June 29th, 1896.
" As might naturally be expected excitement was keen during
the closing stages of the match. About a minute from time
Wright, amid the unbounded enthusiasm of the assemblage, brought
out the winning hit with a leg hit off Mannes for 3, and a single
added by Macmillan, concluded what was one of the most sensa-
tional games seen at Glenpark for some years. The acting captain,
who carried his bat for 20, got by pretty cricket, was accorded a
warm reception."
