GREENOCK v. EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY at Glenpark
,Tune 8th, 1895.
Extract from
Greenock Telegra
j
bh
of June 10th, 1895.
" F. Blunden and D. Kerr then became associated, and by
fine cricket steadily obtained a complete mastery over the 'Varsity
bowling. At 4-25 Blunden brought out 200 amidst applause.
Kerr continued to hit out prettily, and after three hour's batting
he secured his century, an achievement on which he is to be heartily
congratulated. Greenock applied the closure immediately after-
wards, the telegraph board showing the handsome total of 238 for
6 wickets. Kerr gave only one chance in his admirable innings—
when the score was at 170. His total included twenty 3's and
eleven 2's, the remainder being made up of singles."
