GREENOCK v. DRUMPELLIER at Glenpark—May 6th
1893.
Extract from
Greenock Telegraph
of May 8th, 1893.
" A. L. Graham and Jarvis were the two last batsmen, and
with twenty minutes to go and the score at 87 the interest in the
game greatly heightened. A number of singles and two's were
taken by both players, and Graham had a boundary hit off Wother-
spoon. Play became very exciting towards the close, and when
Jarvis put on the winning hit ten minutes from time considerable
enthusiasm prevailed. Graham was run out shortly thereafter,
and as both he and Jarvis retired to the pavilion they were accorded
a hearty reception. The innings closed for a hundred, the game
resulting in a win for Greenock by two runs."
