Twa goodga'cn Yadj;, and Gear enough.
The Place they ca' it Cadeneiigh :
I fcorn to tell a Lye :
Bcfidcs, I had frae the great Lairdj
A Peat-pat and a lang Kail-yard.

The Maid pat on hcrKirtle brown,
She was the braweft in a' the Town ,;
I wat on him Ihe did na gloom.
But blinkit bonnilie.

Andgript her hard about the Waiftc,
