ancient, and, curiously enough, sometimes turns up in common time. Stenhouse, in the Museum Jllustrations. gives wliat he considers to bV
the genuine version. It is in triple time. Kitson is of the opiniou that the air " Ay wakin', O," tVom its intrinsic evidence, is very ancient.
