Mr. OV/EN SWINEY.
A Gentleman born in Ireland, and formerly Mana-
ger of Dmry Lane Theatre, and afterwards of the
Queen's Theatre in the Hay market. After leaving
that Office he relided in Italy feveral Years, and at his
return, procured a Place in the Cullomhoule.
He wrote one Play, called
The ^acks, or Lot'is the Pkyjlcian, a Comedy^
1710.
Mn CHARLES SHADWELL.
The younger Son of the Laureat, wrote the followr-
'ing Dramatic Pieces.
I. The Fair !^aker of Deal, or The Humours of the
Ma'vy, a Comedy, 1710.
II. The Humcurs of the Army, a Comedy, 1 7 1 2.
III. Irijh Hcfi'italityy ox Virtue Reivardei/f a Co-
medy.
IV". The Plotting Lonjers, or the Difmal Squire, 3
Farce, tranllated from the French of Moliere.
V. The Hajiy Wedding, or The Intriguing Squire, a
Comedy.
\i.The Zh am Prince, or iV^^iu/Z/ow Pafiau, a Co^
medy,
VIl. Roiheric O Connor, a Tragedy.
Mr. Shad-w.ll had a Poft in the Revenue in Dublin^
which he enjoyed till his Death.

This Author was born at Marlborough in Wiltfjiri
in if 77, and received the iiril Rudiments of Learning
in London.
In his Youth, he applyed himfelf to the Study of
Poetry, Painting, aadMulickj in each oi which he
made
