These wild-wood flowers I've pu'd to deck
That spotless breast o' thine ;
The courtier's gems may witness love —
But 'tis nae love like mine.
Farewell, ye Dungeons.
TUNE— M'Pherson's Rant.
Farwell, ye dungeons dark and strong,
The wretch's destinie !
M'Pherson's time will not be long

Sae.dauntingly gaed he ;
He play'd a spring, and danc'd it rounds
Below the gallows-tree.
O what is death but parting breath ?
On many a bloody plain
IVe dar'd his face, and in this place
I scorn him yet again !
Sae rantingly, &c.
Untie these bands from off my hands,.
An' bring to me my sword ;
