On Monday, the SOth of October, 1815, at
ten o'clock in the morning, the performers as-
sembled in the Parliament-house for the first
rehearsal ; and here the power, consistency,
and discipline of the band, were strikingly con-
spicuous. Those who were fortunate enough to
be present, augured the most happy results from
the accuracy, precision, and forcible expression
manifested by this consolidation of great and
varied talent.
