At laft me gae a defperate fqueez,
Which brak the lang tooth by the nee£,
And fyne poor flumpy was at eafe,
But me tint hopes of fniihing,

And frae her dochters did retire,
Syne lean'd her down ayont the fire,
And dyed for lack of fniihing.

JN e'er do what's only fit for youth.
And leave aft" thoughts of fniihing i
Elfe like this wife heyont the fire,
