Whilft 'uriheeded,unregretted,
Tn (her prefence I expire I
Would thy charms improve their power,
Timely think, refcntlefs maid;
Beauty is a fhort liv'd flower,
Deftined but tojbloom and fade:
Let that heaven, whofe kind imprefs.'on
All thy lovely features fhew,
Melt thy fold to foft com pafsion
For a fuff ring lovers woe .
See my colour quickly fading
To a fad portentous pale:
See cold death thy fcorn upbraiding,
O er my vital frame prevail.
Vain alas! expof rulation,
'Tis not thine her love to gain;
But with filent refignation
Bid adieu to life and pain i
