He's wIllIiTg to make me his aln^
An' his ain I am willing to be.
He coft me a rokley o' blue,
A pair o' mittens o' green.
And bis price was a kiss, o' mou ;
An' I paid him the debt yestreen.
My mither's ay makin' a phraze.
That I'm lucky young to be wed ;
But lang ere she countit my days,
O' me she was brought to bed :
Sae mither, just settle your tongue.
An' dinna be flytin' sae bauld.
For we can do the thing when we're young.
