For a 1 that, and a' that,
His dignities, and a' that ;
The pith a" sense, and pride o' worthy
Are grander far than a' that.
Then let us pray, that come it may,
As come it shall, for a* that,
When sense and worth, o'er a"* the earth*
Shall bear the gree, and a 1 that.
For a 1 that, and a** that,.
It's coming yet, for a' that,
When man and man, the warld o'er^
Shall brithers be, and a' that.
THOUGH WOMEN'S MINDS.
Though women's minds, like winter winds>
May shift and turn, and a' that,
The noblest breast adores them maist^
A consequence I draw that.
For a' that, and a' that,
And twice as meikle's a' that^
For a 1 that, and a' that,
His dignities, and a' that ;
The pith a" sense, and pride o' worthy
Are grander far than a' that.
