From Anne de Montmorency, Constable of France,
to the Queen Dowager
1554. Vol. iii. 34.
As this packet is being sent on chance, the Queen will not have a long
letter from him, since M. d’Oysel’s letter, in cipher, will tell her all
news. The King and Court are all well, and the controller Astier will soon
be sent to her, who will explain the contents of the letters he bears.
