Lord Findlater’s bookseller in Edinburgh continued to supply
him with the ‘ choysest new bookes.’
My Lord,—I receaved formerly yor Lop. letter dated in
August last; bot, because I had then sent my commission,
I could not give yor Lop. ane answer. Bot that since I
have got them home, therfore I have sent yow the following
bookes, being the choysest new bookes I have got, and
which I thowght wold most fitt yor Lop.—I am, My Lord,
Yor Lop. most humble servant, Martha Stevensone.
