James Dunlop’s letter to Alderstoune in relatione to the
sorteing the wooll read to the Manadgers.
Orders Alexander Weir to keep James Dunlop in mynd of
the contents thereof alwayes as he hes occasione to wryt ta
Newmilnes and to wryt ane answer to Alderstoune’s letter.
Orders Alexander Weir to wryt to David Maxwell that he
reproove Mr. Cooil the fyne drauer for doeing his bussiness
soe superficially wherby there are a great many complaints,
particularly in the fynest cloaths such as scarletts.
Alloues Bailly Blackwood for the chainge yearne in the end
mixt No. 2099 q* 11 ells sold the 9th current a rebait of
2/ sterlings. Ro: Blackwood.

Orders Alexander Weir to wryt to David Maxwell that the
100 ells of whyt ordered for Deacon Doun be not sent in to
the hall untill the Manadgers give orders therefor.
Mr. Drummond’s letter to the Manadgers read ordered that
Alexander Weir wryt ane answer thereto that the Company
are not soe scarce of Spanish wooll hot that they cann wait for
the convoys comeing home with there wooll comissioned.
