To Michael Ouchtre, canon of Dunblane, b.dec. Indult for Michael,
dispensed of his defect of birth as the son of a priest and an un¬
married woman to be promoted to all sacred orders and first to hold
a benefice even if with cure and a canonry and prebend in a cathedral
church, and subsequently to hold any number of any other com¬
patible benefices, provided they were not major or principal dignities
in cathedral or collegiate churches, now to hold a major or principal,
elective dignity in a cathedral or collegiate church notwithstanding
his defect of birth, the decrees of the Council of Poitou or any other
constitutions to the contrary.

To the same. Indult for Michael, holding a canonry and prebend
of Dunblane and the perpetual vicarage of Strugueth, Dunblane
diocese, and dispensed [as in Reg Aven 349, 462V-463 above] now
to hold along with the said vicarage, which has cure, another benefice
incompatible with the vicarage even if a major or principal elective
dignity in a cathedral or collegiate church with powers of exchange
for two incompatibles; but within two years he is to exchange one
of these incompatibles for a compatible benefice, otherwise at the
end of the two years he is to demit one or other of these incom¬
patible benefices.

To John Legat, perpetual vicar of the parish church of Cupar in Fife,
St Andrews diocese, m.a. Provision of John, secretary of Robert,
duke of Albany and governor of Scotland, to the parish church of
Cupro in Fife as a reserved benefice, value not exceeding -£40 old
sterling to a non-resident, vacant by the death outside the curia of
Thomas de Kilquinquar, late vicar and papal chaplain. William,
the third prior, and the convent of St Andrews to whom the
