To Nicholas Inglis, clerk, Glasgow diocese. Indult for Nicholas
of noble birth, nephew of Henry, bishop of St Andrews, student
of arts, to hold a benefice with or without cure, even if a canonry
and prebend, or a major or principal dignity in a cathedral or
collegiate church with powers of exchange for similar or dissimilar

To the bishop of Dunblane. Mandate to receive from John, abbot
of Paisley, and Roland, abbot of Crossraguel, or from their pro¬
curators, the resignations outside the curia by apostolic authority
of their respective monasteries and to provide John to Paisley and
Roland to Crossraguel. Recently Roland had been provided to
Paisley and John to Crossraguel but as peaceful possession had not
followed, this mandate is granted; and the oaths of fealty from
John and Roland are to be received by the mandatory, and then sent
by letters patent under their seals to the pope by the next envoy.

To the archdeacon of St Andrews in Scotland. Mandate to confirm
Robert de Dryden, priest, St Andrews diocese, in possession of the
parish church of Kynneclis, said diocese, value not exceeding ^20 old
sterling to a non-resident. Robert, in possession of the parish church
of Mukard, St Andrews diocese, and Hugh Huntar, in possession of
Kynneclis, had resigned their benefices for purposes of exchange into
the hands of Henry, bishop of St Andrews, outside the curia, who ad¬
mitted the resignations by ordinary authority and by the same auth¬
ority effected the exchange; but Robert had doubted the validity of his
provision and sought confirmation which is granted by this mandate.
