of arts, to hold a benefice with or without cure, even if a canonry
and prebend, or a major or principal dignity in a cathedral or

of Paisley, and Roland, abbot of Crossraguel, or from their pro¬

Kynneclis, had resigned their benefices for purposes of exchange into
the hands of Henry, bishop of St Andrews, outside the curia, who ad¬
mitted the resignations by ordinary authority and by the same auth¬
ority effected the exchange; but Robert had doubted the validity of his
provision and sought confirmation which is granted by this mandate.
