To the bishop of St Andrews, the archdeacon of St Andrews in
Scotland, and the precentor of Segorbe. Mandate to grant to John
Scot, monk of the monastery of Dunfermlyne, osb, an annual
pension of ^10 Scots for three years from the fruits of the monastery
with the consent of William the abbot, to enable him to study letters
at the university of St Andrews. The mandatories are to ensure the
money is paid to John or his procurator without molestation by the
abbot and convent.

To master John de Merton, secular provost of the collegiate church
of Bothwell, Glasgow diocese, d.dec., papal chaplain. Indult for
John, holding a canonry and prebend of Glasgow, the said secular
provostry and the parish church of Kyrkmocho, Glasgow diocese,
the last two benefices being held together without a papal dispensa¬
tion, to hold two other benefices with or without cure incompatible
with the provostry and parish church, even if they are parsonages,
offices or major or principal dignities in cathedral or collegiate
churches, with powers of exchange outside the curia at the hands
of the ordinary as often as he pleases for four incompatible benefices,
notwithstanding any decrees of general councils or constitutions to
the contrary.
