To the official of St Andrews. Mandate that if William Drakis,
perpetual vicar called sacristan of the conventual priory of Colding-
ham, osb, a non-elective dignity or parsonage with cure, value not
exceeding ^40 old sterling to a non-resident, is deprived [as in Reg
Aven 343, i86v above], then Thomas de Seves, priest, is to be trans¬
lated from the monastery of Dunfermline, osb, and collated to
the sacristanship notwithstanding the constitutions of Boniface vm
or any others to the contrary.

bald to choose a suitable and discreet priest to hear confessions, grant
absolution and impose penances.

To the bishop of Orense, the dean of Dunkeld and the archdeacon
of St Andrews. Mandate to confirm Malcolm de Aula, priest, St
Andrews diocese, b.dec., in possession of the parish church of
Tanadas, St Andrews diocese, value not exceeding -£50 of old ster¬
ling to a non-resident. Malcolm, holding canonries and prebends of
Glasgow and the Blessed Mary, St Andrews, together with the
perpetual vicarage of Kilkonkar, wished to exchange these for the
parish church of Tanadas held by the late William de Strabrok, and
so he resigned the canonry and prebend of Glasgow into the
hands of Mathew, late bishop of Glasgow, and the canonry and
prebend of St Andrews and the vicarage of Kilkonkar into the hands
of Henry, bishop of St Andrews, who also received the resignation
of Tanadas from William; and he then provided Malcolm to Tanadas
and William to the above benefices by ordinary authority. Malcolm,
however, doubted the validity of his provision and was, therefore,
granted letters confirming his rights to Tanadas, vacant as above or
by the death of John de Muskalburg who died at the curia of
