benefice in the gift of the bishop of St Andrews, vacant on or after
6 Id. Aug. [8 Aug.], 1403, in which it was stated that he was a
b.theol., but Laurence had shown that at this time he was not a
b.theol., and therefore doubted the validity of his reservation; but
as by the 6 Id. Aug. [8 Aug.], 1403 he had gained this degree and
also an m.a., the said letters and anything consequent thereupon are
to be valid as if at the time of the granting of the letters he was
indeed a b.theol.

To Richard de Cornel, rector of the parish church of Eglismaughwy,
St Andrews diocese, lic.dec. Indult to hold the chaplaincy of St
Mary Magdalene of Musulburgh, St Andrews diocese along with the
parish church of Eglismaughwy with powers of exchange for similar
or dissimilar benefices, with or without cure, provided they are not
major or principal dignities in cathedral or collegiate churches.
Richard had recently been provided to a canonry of Glasgow with
expectation of a prebend with or without cure, and on his assecution
to such a prebend he was held to demit Eglismaughwy which he is
now dispensed to retain as above.
