To William de Lawder, canon of Rennes, lic.u.j. Provision of
William, of noble birth, constituted priest, to a canonry and prebend
and the precentorship of Glasgow, a non-major, non-elective dignity
with cure, combined value not exceeding -£40 sterling, vacant by
the promotion of the former precentor, Henry, to the bishopric
of St Andrews, or vacant in any way other than to the death of the
said Henry; notwithstanding that William is known to hold the
parish church of St Clerii, St Malo diocese, and prebends of Rennes
and St Malo, and has letters of provision to a canonry of Aberdeen
with expectation of a prebend with or without cure. William is
dispensed to hold the said parish church or another one along with
the precentorship, or another dignity, provided the dignity is not
major or principal in a cathedral or collegiate church, notwith¬
standing any decrees of general councils or the statutes of the church
of Glasgow; but on his peaceful assecution to the canonry, prebend
and precentorship of Glasgow the said letters of provision to Aber¬
deen are to become null and void.

To Henry, bishop of St Andrews. Indult for Henry to collate
twelve people of his choice to twelve benefices of the kind wont
to be assigned to secular clerks, to the value of 25 merks sterling if
with cure, and to the value of 18 merks sterling if without cure if
assigned to non-graduates in theology, or canon or civil law, and
to any value if assigned to graduates, in the gift of the bishop of
St Andrews and the prior and chapter of St Andrews, vacant at
present or to be vacant, even if such people hold or have expectation
of one, two or more benefices; and these collations are in no way
to prejudice the rights of cardinals of the curia, notaries, auditors, sub¬
deacons, referendaries, papal familiars, collectors or sub-collectors.
Any person being collated to a benefice incompatible with one
already obtained is to demit one or the other, and the names of any
