vacant by the resignation of David Bell, former prior, outside the
curia into the hands of Walter, bishop of St Andrews, who had
received the resignation by ordinary authority and by the same
authority had provided Andrew to the priory which he had held
for five years before doubting the validity of his possession, which
is now confirmed whether the priory is vacant as above or vacant
by the provision of James Biset, papal chaplain and former prior
to the priory of St Andrews, upon which priory Lochleven is
dependent and by a canon of which it is wont to be served.

To the abbot of Lindores. Mandate to confirm William de North-
berwick Junior, priest, St Andrews diocese, in possession of the
parish church of Essi, said diocese, value not exceeding 20 merks
sterling vacant by the death outside the curia of John de Sauhne,
late rector, as John had doubted the validity of his institution by
Walter, bishop of St Andrews, to whom he had been presented
within the lawful time by the prior and convent of Neubotel, osb
when the abbot to whom the presentation was said to pertain
was travelling in remote parts.

To John Dugaldi, rector of the parish church of Kylmore, Argyll
diocese. Provision of John to the parish church of Kylmore, Argyll
diocese. John, while vicar of the parish church of Minawart,
Dunblane diocese, and John de Cornton while rector of Kylmore,
had resigned their benefices outside the curia for purposes of ex¬
change into the hands of Dugald, bishop of Dunblane, and John,
bishop of Argyll respectively, who admitted the resignations by
ordinary authority and by the same authority effected the exchange,
John, bishop of Argyll providing John Dugaldi to Kylmore and
Dugald, bishop of Dunblane, providing John de Cornton to Mina-
vacant by the resignation of David Bell, former prior, outside the
