Doncani, rector of the parish church of Craguithe, Argyll diocese,
to the parish church called rectory of St Bean in Lome, Argyll
diocese, value not exceeding 100 shillings, vacant because the late
Gillecalver Willelmi who had been canonically collated to the said
church had held it for more than a year without being raised to
priests orders, and which has been unlawfully detained by Martin
Filani, prior of St Cathani, o.cist., for more than 24 years, notwith¬
standing that Cnstin is known to hold the said parish church of
Craguithe which, however, on his peaceful assecution to St Bean
he is held to demit.1

To William Sybald, clerk, St Andrews diocese. Indult for William,
of noble birth, lic.art., dispensed of a defect of birth as the son of
an unmarried man and an unmarried woman to be promoted to all
holy orders and first to hold a benefice with or without cure and
then to hold another benefice even if with cure, or a canonry and
prebend in a cathedral provided they were compatible, with powers
of exchange for other similar or dissimilar compatible benefices;
now to hold along with two such benefices one other compatible
benefice with or without cure even if a canonry and prebend, an
elective dignity or office in a cathedral, or a parsonage, provided
the dignity is not a major one, with powers of exchange for com¬
patibles as often as he pleases, and without making further mention
of his defect of birth.
