Captain Ian Bolton,
3rd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
Captain Bolton, grandson of Sir John H.N. Graham,
Bart., joined the 3rd Argyll and Sutherland High-
landers on 15th August, 1914, and proceeded to
France (where he was severely wounded) on 11th
May, 1915. He was promoted Captain on 18th
October, 1915, and Mentioned in Sir John French's
Despatch dated 30th November, 1915. Being unfit
for further active service Captain Bolton was
appointed Adjutant of the 1st Stirlingshire Volunteer
Regiment.
