CAPTAIN AND ADJUTANT WILLIAM ISAAC HAIG-SCOTT, M.C.,
Cassells Place, Leith.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant 4th Reserve Brigade Royal
Field Artillery in September 1915. Served in France from January
1916 with Batteries, and at Headquarters 93rd Army Brigade Royal
Field Artillery. Twice wounded. Awarded Military Cross and
mentioned in Dispatches.
LIEUTENANT JOHN DONALD SHAW, 66 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh.
(Apprentice.)
Joined gth Royal Scots 2nd December 1915. Afterwards attached to 13th
Royal Scots. Received Commission as 1st Lieutenant. Served in France
until 26th July 1918, when killed in action.
CAPTAIN ALEXANDER RUSSELL SIMPSON, 10 Albyn Place, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant Royal Garrison Artillery on
6th October 1915. Thereafter promoted Captain. Served in Coast
Defence Batteries and Commanded No. 1 Armoured Train.
LIEUTENANT SAMUEL RALEIGH SIMPSON, 10 Albyn Place, Edinburgh.
Enlisted in Army Service Corps in May 1916. Received Commission
in Labour Corps in December 1917, and served in France with that
Corps from February 1918.
LIEUT-COLONEL ROBERT SIMSON, O.B.E., Colinton.
Received Commission as Captain 4th Royal Scots in September 1914.
Served in Egypt from January 1916 onwards. Commandant Offices
of War Camp. Commandant Officers' Base Depot, and since May
1917 Commandant Infantry Base Depot. Promoted Temporary Lieut-
Colonel. Mentioned in Dispatches. Commandant Demobilisation Camp.
Awarded O.B.E. (Military).
CAPTAIN DONALD BOASE SINCLAIR, O.B.E., 43 Castle Street,
Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant gth Royal Scots on 4th
October 1914. Thereafter promoted Captain. Served as Intelligence
Officer on South-East Coast of Kent. Staff Captain at War Office,
and thereafter under New Recruiting Organisation.
