CAPTAIN GAVIN BLACK LOUDON MOTHERWELL, O.B.E., 42 York
Place, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant 2/4th Royal Scots Fusiliers in
October 1914. Thereafter promoted Captain. From March 1916 acted as
Appeal Military Representative to Appeal Tribunals for the Counties of
Stirling, Dumbarton, and Clackmannan, and also for Argyllshire. Awarded
O.B.E. (Military Division).
CAPTAIN KENNETH MURRAY, 9 Buckingham Terrace, Edinburgh.
Mobilised in August 1914 with 2nd Lovat Scouts Yeomanry as 2nd
Lieutenant. Served in Gallipoli from September to December 1915, in
Egypt from January till August 1916, and in Salonica from September
1916 till January 1917. Promoted Captain. Discharged in November
1918 on account of ill-health caused by wounds received at Salonica.
CAPTAIN ALEXANDER LOW MUSTARD, 1 North Street, Elgin.
Mobilised in August 1914 with 6th Royal Scots as Lieutenant. Served in
France with 15th Royal Scots and 34th Divisional Depot Battalion from
February 1917 ; was wounded on 12th April 1918, and returned to this
country. Served as Assistant Instructor at Officers' Convalescent Hospitals
and Command Depots from July igi8. Promoted Captain.
LIEUTENANT JAMES GRAHAM MYLNE, 10 Ainslie Place, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant in 2/8th Royal Scots. Afterwards
attached to i/4th Royal Scots. Promoted 1st Lieutenant. Served in
Palestine, and thereafter in France. Killed in action 2nd September
1918.
MAJOR ARCHIBALD DAVID MUTTER NAPIER, 22 Clarendon Crescent,
Edinburgh.
Commissioned as Captain of 17th Northumberland Fusiliers in November
1914. Transferred to 21st Northumberland Fusiliers February 1915.
Went to France in January 1916 and took part in hostilities at Armentieres,
Somme, and Vimy Ridge. Promoted Major on the field in July 1916.
Invalided April 1917. Mentioned in Dispatches.
LIEUTENANT HAROLD STANLEY NICOLSON. (Apprentice.)
Joined R.N.V.R. January 1915. Served on Board H.M.S. "Resolution."
