LIEUTENANT TERTIUS PETER MANUEL, Duncruin, Comiston Road,
Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant in July 1915 in 6th Royal Scots.
Attached Machine-Gun Corps. Served abroad from March till August 1917,
and served in this country from that date. Promoted Lieutenant
February 1917.
2ND LIEUTENANT ROBERT WADDELL MARSHALL, 5 Thistle Street,
Edinburgh. (Apprentice.)
Enlisted in Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders May 1916. Gazetted 2nd
Lieutenant 16th Battalion the Rifle Brigade 29th August 1917. Served in
France from 9th November 1917 until 31st January 1919.
2ND LIEUTENANT ROBERT WATSON MARTIN, 32 Charlotte Square,
Edinburgh. (Apprentice.)
Joined Royal Flying Corps as Cadet 13th April 1917. Enlisted in London
Scottish 13th October 1917. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in Royal Highlanders
(Black Watch) 31st July 1918. Served in this country.
CAPTAIN (ACTING MAJOR) JAMES DOUGLAS LEITCH MELROSE, Goshen
Bank, Kelso.
Mobilised with Royal Garrison Artillery (T.F.) as Lieutenant in 1914.
Went to France in August 1916, and died in France from wounds
received in action on 25th April 1918. Promoted Captain and acted
as Major.
LIEUTENANT PATRICK DROUGHT NORTH MENZIES, Canaan House,
Edinburgh.
Joined Edinburgh University O.T.C. in March 1916. From August till
November 1916 Private in Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry 6th Cadet
Battalion, Worcester College, Oxford. From January 1917 to November
1918 served in Fife and Forfar Yeomanry. Obtained a Commission and
went to France in November 1918, and was attached to 5th Royal Scots
Fusiliers.
