LIEUTENANT GILBERT LINDSAY DOUGLAS HOLE, 31 Melville
Street, Edinburgh.
Enlisted 25th May 1916 in 10th K.L.R. Liverpool Scottish. Received
Commission 15th January 1917. Served in France July 1917 to February
1918, when sent home with diseased eye. Served in Belgium from date of
Armistice until demoblised in February 1919.
CAPTAIN ARTHUR HENRY CECIL HOPE, 57 Great King Street,
Edinburgh. (Apprentice.)
Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in 4th Seaforth Highlanders. Attached to Head-
quarters Indian (afterwards XVII.) Corps and thereafter to Royal Field
Corps. Served in this country and in France. Mentioned in Dispatches.
CAPTAIN JAMES NAPIER HOTCHKIS, St Andrews.
Mobilised with Highland Cyclist Battalion in August 1914. Transferred to
Royal Field Artillery in January 1915, and to Highland Light Infantry
July 1916. Served in France and Belgium from July 1915 till January
1916, and at Malta from November 1917 to November 1919.
CAPTAIN EVAN AUSTIN HUNTER, O.B.E., 7 York Place, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant Army Service Corps Scottish
Horse Mounted Brigade (T.F.) September 1914. Went to France in March
1917 and was invalided home. Appointed Staff Captain War Office in
December 1917, and held that position till March 1919. Awarded O.B.E.
Mentioned in Dispatches.
LIEUTENANT THOMAS JAMES GIBSON HUNTER, 34 St Andrew
Square, Edinburgh.
Enlisted in 7th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in June 1916. Received
Commission as 2nd Lieutenant in September 1917 and posted to Labour
Corps. Promoted Lieutenant. Served in France for twenty-two months.
MAJOR JOSEPH ELLIS INGLIS, M.C., 86 Great King Street, Edinburgh.
Mobilised as Lieutenant in Royal Garrison Artillery in August 1914.
Served in this country for eighteen months and thereafter in France.
Attached to the Artillery Staff. Promoted Major. Awarded Military
Cross and mentioned in Dispatches.
