MAJOR ROBERT STORMONTH-DARLING, Kelso.
Commissioned as 2nd Lieutenant Lothians and Border Horse in March
1915. Temporary Captain June 1915 to August 1916. Temporary Major
August 1916. Went to France in April 191S as A.D.C. to G.O.C
51st Division B.E.F.
LIEUTENANT P. FURNEAUX DAWSON, 23 York Place, Edinburgh.
Joined Royal Garrison Artillery as a Gunner in October 1916. Served in
this country. Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant 1st October 1917.
Promoted Lieutenant 1st April 1919.
DAVID DEAS DEWAR, 6 Cornwall Road, Bedford.
Enlisted in 23rd Royal Fusiliers (1st Sportsmans') in October 1914. Served
in France from November 1915, and was engaged at Battles of Cambrai,
Festubert, &c. Discharged on 25th March 1916 as result of an accident.
LIEUT.-COLONEL MAURICE RHYND DICKSON, D.S.O., Arbroath.
Received Commission in Royal Scots Fusiliers in September 1914, and was
later transferred to 12th Battalion Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
Served in France and Macedonia, Salonica, from 1915 till 1918. Promoted
to the rank of Lieut.-Colonel commanding Battalion. Awarded D.S.O. and
Order of the Legion of Honour (Ofncier) France. Twice mentioned in
Dispatches.
LIEUTENANT ALEXANDER DOUGAL, 36 Morningside Grove, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as 2nd Lieutenant in Forth Royal Garrison Artillery in
November 1915. Served in France with Siege Battery as First Lieutenant
from November 1917 onwards.
MAJOR WILLIAM CUNNINGHAM DUDGEON, 17 Rutland Street,
Edinburgh.
Served from September 1914 to October 1918 with 2/ioth Royal Scots.
Thereafter in Ireland with i/ioth Royal Scots.
