1914-1919.
LIEUT.-COLONEL JAMES BLACK CAMERON, D.S.O., 4 Albyn Place.
Edinburgh.
Commanded Lowland (City of Edinburgh) Heavy Battery, R.G.A., before
the War, and mobilised as Major in Command on 4th August 1914.
Proceeded to France with Battery and served in command, and also in
command from time to time of various Brigades of Heavy Artillery during
the fighting in France. Battles — Hooge 1915, Ancre 1916, Arras 1917,
Flanders 1917, German Offensive March 191S. Awarded D.S.O., and
mentioned in Dispatches. Invalided home with Trench Fever April
1918.
LIEUTENANT DAVID CORMACK, Royal Bank House, Lockerbie.
Enlisted Inns of Court O.T.C. January 1916. Received Commission as
2nd Lieutenant Royal Field Artillery Special Reserve in November 1916.
Served in France from February 1917 till December 1918.
MAJOR WILLIAM COWAN, 14 Ramsay Garden, Edinburgh.
Received Commission as Captain in R.G.A. in November 1914. Served
in England (in Coast Defence) 1915-17, and in France 1918 ; promoted
Major.
