1896 ; joined at Elgin, August, 1914 ; served in France ; wounded in right thigh, at Beau-
mont Hamel, 13th Nov., 1916, resulting in discharge. Son of Andrew E. Newlands, Ogston
Lane, Lossiemouth, and Isabella Stewart or Newlands. Occupation, painter.
