MACKESSACK, James Trotter Gilzean. Trooper, Auckland Mounted Rifles ; born at Asleisk,
Alves, 23rd Jan., 1895 ; joined in New Zealand ; served in Gallipoli ; killed at Gallipoli, 6th
August, 1915. Son of Charles Alexander Mackessack, Elgin, and Margaret Maria Gordon or
Mackessack.

Mains of Alves ; joined at Durban, South Africa, 1915 ; served in East Africa and Egypt.

Oct. 3rd, 1917 ; served in France ; wounded in back and arm, May 26th, 1918, and killed in
