MIDDLETON, Alfred Saunders. Lieut., 72nd Canadian Scottish and R.A.F. ; born at School-
house, Dounby, Orkney, 20th Feb., 1892 ; residing at Findhorn for many years ; joined at
Vancouver City, B.C., 10th August, 1914 ; served in France ; died of wounds, and buried in
Military Cemetery, Rocquigny Road, Etricourt, Ypres. Son of Alexander and Williamina
Bruce Middleton, Findhorn. Occupation, clerk.
MIDDLETON, Edwin Littletohn. No. 25306, Lce.-Cpl., Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders
and 7th Seaforths ; born at Shenwell Schoolhouse, Cairney, Aberdeenshire, 18th May, 1899,
residing at Findhorn for fourteen years ; joined at Elgin, 10th August, 1917 ; served in France ;
slightly gassed, and contracted trench fever. Son of Alexander and Williamina Bruce Mid-
dleton, Findhorn. Occupation, law clerk.
MIDDLETON, Edwin Ralph Barrett. 2nd Lieut., 6th Seaforths ; born at Liverpool, 20th
April, 1889 ; joined at Elgin, 8th Sept., 1915 ; served in France ; killed in action at Battle
of Arras, 9th April, 1917. Son of Rev. D. Middleton, Maryculter, Aberdeen.
MIDDLETON, Ernest William. Cadet, R.A.F. ; born at Schoolhouse, Dounby, Orkney, 15th
October, 1886, residing in Findhorn for many years ; joined at Winnipeg, Manitoba, 1918.
Son of Alexander and Williamina Bruce Middleton, Findhorn. Occupation, manager of
insurance company.
MIDDLETON, Frank. No. S/14512, Cpl., 1st Gordon Highlanders ; born at Longhaven, near
Peterhead, 18th July, 1885, educated at Forres ; joined at Aberdeen, June, 1916 ; wounded
in head, right arm and right leg, and gassed, July, 1917 ; awarded Military Medal. Son of
William and Jane Innes Middleton, The Gardens, Carron Lodge, Stonehaven. Occupation,,
gardener.

Schoolhouse, Sandwick, Orkney, 25th Jan., 1895, residing at Findhorn for many years ; joined
at Winnipeg, Canada, 14th June, 1915 ; served in France. Son of Alexander and Mina Bruce
Middleton, Schoolhouse, Findhorn. Occupation, at Grain Exchange, Winnipeg.
